This "museum" features one of the best collections of historic
ships on the planet, including the spectacular Star of India,
which has become a San Diego icon. It is the world's oldest
active ship. She began life on the stocks at Ramsey Shipyard
in the Isle of Man in 1863.Other ships in the collection include
the 1898 steam ferry Berkeley; the 1904 steam yacht Medea; the
1914 harbor Pilot, and the Californian, a replica of a mid 19th
Century revenue cutter. Trips aboard the Pilot and the Californian
are offered. These are not included in the general admission
prices below.
