A turn-of-the-century farmhouse, formerly owned by the first Civil War soldier to win the Congressional Medal of Honor, and a museum featuring exhibits on the first people to inhabit the Fallbrook area: Luiseno Indians, Spanish soldiers and settlers, Mexican ranchers, and American homesteaders.
This museum also features exhibits on early Fallbrook businesses, including the two railroads, and the development of groves and fruit production, from olives and apricots to lemons and avocados.
The members of the Fallbrook Historical Society consider themselves “the keepers of Fallbrook’s images.” You can explore those images on Thursdays from 1 to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.
