La Jolla Cove

	This small beach, tucked between adjacent sandstone cliffs, is so beautiful it is one of the most photographed beaches in Southern California. The north-facing Cove has unusually coarse sand. Water visibility can sometimes exceed 30 feet, making the Cove a favorite with snorkelers and scuba divers when surf conditions are low. It lies within the San Diego La Jolla Underwater Park Ecological Reserve to ensure that marine life remains abundant—in other words, you can look but don't touch. Grassy Scripps Park is immediately adjacent to the Cove and is popular for after-dive picnics. Unfortunately, there is no parking lot and on-street parking can be difficult to find, especially during the summer.
