This popular 1,200-foot fishing pier features food concessions, fish-cleaning sinks, a bait and tackle shop, and restrooms. There is a full-service restaurant and bar at its base. The pier also allows visitors stunning views of the coastal bluffs. The beach area around the pier offers picnic facilities, outdoor showers, restrooms, volleyball nets, and fire rings. The annual Ocean Festival, one of San Clemente's most popular events, is held at the base of the pier on the third weekend in July. Among other activities, the festival includes lifeguard competitions, an art show, a sand castle contest, and a concert. Metered parking is available and Amtrak makes a stop right at the pier
